Women’s Seminar:

The Lakewood Ranch Professional Women’s Networking Group will be offering a seminar:
"How to Make Your Home Safe", presented by Deputy Dawn Stroup. Dawn will talk about what your house says to a would be burglar plus learn how to reduce the opportunity of your home being chosen by a burglar.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, February 15th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at The River Club Cabana on the Green Restaurant 6600 River Club Blvd, Bradenton, Fl
Networking from 11:30 am to noon
Speaker and lunch from Noon to 1:00 pm
Cost - $10 includes lunch

Nicole Double & Beth Hillard We have all heard the recent news articles about the need to supply the food banks around the country. At our weekly meeting on November 30, it was discussed that we make a small donation to a local food bank as they are in desperate need of help this year.

LRPWNG was first introduced to the “All Faiths Food Bank” during the Living Full Event held at the Polo Grill on October 16, 2011. We were so taken with the work and generosity of the “All Faiths Food Bank” that we decided that we would make a contribution to help them in this great time of need.

It was with great pleasure and our honor that we the LRPWNG welcomed Nicole Double, director of the All Faiths Food Bank located here in Sarasota to our weekly meeting on December 7, 2011 held at The River Club in Lakewood Ranch. Shortly after the meeting was opened we presented the “All Faith’s Food Bank” with a check for $500. Nicole Double graciously accepted the donation, and stated that with this donation we had just helped provide over 800 meals!

Thanks to everyone who attended the first Women's Seminar on September 14th, 2011. The free seminar was presented by Cindy Auchter, LCSW Charis Center on Achieving A Balanced Life. The seminar was held at The River Club Cabana on the Green Restaurant, 6600 River Club Blvd, Bradenton, Florida. The meeting was well attended and we will be announcing our next seminar in the near future.

On August 11, 2011 the LRPWNG enjoyed an after work social with Riverside Tours in Bradenton, Florida. The event started with a delicious dinner at the Riverhouse Reef & Grill at Regatta Pointe Marina. After dinner everyone enjoyed a wonderful sightseeing sunset cruise aboard the River Skipper. Thanks to the staff and crew to both the Riverhouse Reef and Riverside Tours for a lovely time. The weather was perfect and we all had a great time.
